OPEN – Andre Agassi

Andre Agassi – OPEN An autobiography

What do you do when you excel at something that you hate? This is what Andre Agassi struggles with and shares with us in this book.

OPEN was such an exciting read! Andre, one of the world’s most talented tennis players starts the book by saying how much he hates tennis. This book had me at hello. What an intriguing situtation. To be great at something and yet hate it at the same time. A blessing that is a curse, a curse that is a blessing. Andre’s struggle to come to terms with his ability to play tennis at the top level and his struggles on the courts around the world, merge into one fascinating account of a brave man. With this read, one is reminded that with honest vulnerability comes great courage and inspiration for all who witness it.

I highly recommend this book. You will be taken on your own journey with Andre and will hopefully find your own  peace and self acceptance together with him.
